Made with RAW milk!
Raw milk so good for you. It has been known to cure many health conditions as well as nourish your blood, liver, skin, immune system, and so much more! I recommend visiting the website realmilk.com to learn more! Don’t believe people who say that raw milk is dangerous! As long as you get it from a trusted source, it has great healing benefits and does not harm you. If you don’t have access to raw milk, you can use almond, cashew, or coconut milk in this recipe. Just make sure there’s no added weird ingredients.
What Ingredients will I need to make Chocolate Raw Milk?
Raw Milk
You’ll need one cup of raw milk for this recipe. I get my milk from a local farm (I have a cow share!) However, there are some states where you can get in at the store! If you don’t have access to raw milk, don’t use pasteurized. Pasteurized milk will do more harm than good. When milk is heated to higher temperatures, much of the nutrients and all of the healthy bacteria is killed. This means that your body cannot digest the milk properly! If you don’t have raw milk, use coconut or almond.
Egg Yolks
Okay. You might be wondering if it’s okay to eat raw egg yolk… Yep! It is! Salmonella is found on the shells of eggs. You can just rinse the eggs off before cracking them and then rinse the yolks off before putting them in the blender. I wouldn’t leave them out though! They are so nutrient dense and good for you! You only need one or two!
Collagen
Collagen literally makes this chocolate milk taste like marshmallows. In my opinion. It is also super good for healthy skin, hair, and nails! I recommend grass-fed beef collagen which you can get here. You’ll need one serving of collagen or this recipe.
Vanilla
Vanilla gives this chocolate raw milk so much flavor! You can use vanilla extract or powdered vanilla bean. You can get some here.
Sea Salt
Adding sea salt to this smoothie takes it up a level! You would believe how much flavor it brings! It’s amazing! Always use unrefined sea salt in place of refined table salt. You can get my favorite brand here.
Cocoa Powder
The main ingredient that make this chocolate raw milk! Cocoa powder! Try to find organic if you can. My favorite brand is NuNaturals. I find that Dutch processed cocoa powder tastes best too!
Sweetener of choice
My favorite sweetener to use in this recipe is a little bit of liquid stevia (here) However, some people don’t tolerate it too well or are suspicious of it. (I probably should be too….) Anyway, there are so many other healthy options for you to choose from! Here’s some ideas:
- 2-3 Medjool dates
- 2 tbsp unrefined maple syrup
- 2 tbsp raw honey
- 2 tbsp coconut sugar
Just avoid things like splenda, cane sugar, brown sugar… all that stuff.
Ice and Water
This isn’t really an ingredient, but I guess you should know about it anyway. You’ll need a handful of ice and about a 1/2 cup of water for this chocolate raw milk.
Complete list of ingredients with measurements:
In case you need a refresher, here’s the complete list of ingredients and measurements in one place.

What tools will I need to make Chocolate Raw Milk?
A Blender
You’re blender doesn’t need to be SUPER powerful to make this yummy treat. Whatever you have should work as long as it can blend ice.
How to make Chocolate Raw Milk
1. Add all the ingredients to a blender
Umm…. This step kind of explains itself. Add the milk, egg yolks, collagen, vanilla, cocoa, salt, ice, water, and sweetener to your blender. There is actually a little bit of a technique when it comes to blending this raw chocolate milk. Blend on high for about 20 seconds, then low for 20, then high for 10. Then it’s done. If your blender only has one setting just blend for about a minute.
2. Enjoy!
Pour your delicious chocolate raw milk into a pretty glass. (or just a normal cup) and enjoy! Try topping it with raw whipped cream!
FAQ’s about Chocolate Raw Milk
Here are some answers to questions you might have about making chocolate raw milk.
Where can I find raw milk?
I’d use the website www.realmilk.com to find a provider near you. If you live in Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, North Dakota, West Virginia, or California, raw milk should be available in grocery stores. If yo don’t live in one of those blessed states, you’ll need to have a cow share (like me!) this means that you own part of a cow and therefore have access to part of it’s milk supply.
Can kids have chocolate raw milk?
Yes! My two little siblings LOVE this milk and I feel great feeding it to them knowing they are getting so many nutrients!
What kind of milk should I use in place of raw milk?
I’d recommend coconut milk, almond milk, cashew milk, or another nut milk if you don’t have raw milk. I don’t recommend soy milk however. Also make sure there are no added gums, oils, or sugars. Here are some links to my favorite brands:
