Ingredients you’ll need for 3 Ingredient Pumpkin Pie
There’s only a few! You probably have them already! Here’s what you’ll need:
Pumpkin Puree
I like the flavor of canned pumpkin puree better than homemade but if you grew pumpkin’s in your garden or want to try making your own pumpkin puree you totally should! If you buy canned make sure the only ingredient is pumpkin. I always recommend organic! You can get some here. You’ll only need one can for this recipe.
Eggs
Eggs are SO good for you! They are packed with healthy fats, brain healthy nutrients and protein! Besides the pumpkin, eggs are the main ingredient in this recipe! I always recommend free-range eggs but any will do! You’ll need 4 eggs for this recipe.
Pumpkin Pie Spice
Pumpkin pie spice brings this whole recipe together! You can get some here. This recipe calls for 1 tbsp of pumpkin pie spice.
Vanilla
My FAVORITE flavor! Vanilla extract gives this recipe such a warm cozy taste! You can get some here.
Salt
Salt is essential in any recipe. Unrefined real salt is packed with trace minerals and helps with digestion. It also brings out flavor in everything it touches! (This is a different topic but I recently discovered adding salt to my raw milk smoothies and it takes them up a level!) You can get my favorite brand here.
Sweetener of choice
You’ve got a few options here. I prefer to use a tiny bit of liquid stevia but there are other choices as well! Here are some healthy options:
- 1/4 cup maple syrup (unrefined)
- 1/4 cup coconut sugar
- 1/4 cup rapadura
- 1/4 cup date powder
- 1/4 cup honey (unrefined)
Pick whichever one sounds best!
Pie Crust!
Okay, this doesn’t count as an ingredient. But you will need a crust obviously. You could use any healthy recipe you like. (I recommend Nourishing Traditions recipes! Get that amazing cookbook hereand read more about Nourishing Traditions here.) Anyway. I have a recipe you’ll love here!

Tools you’ll need to make 3 Ingredient Pumpkin Pie
A Pie Pan
You’ll need a glass pie pan to make this recipe! You can get a good one here. I don’t recommend aluminum pie pans as the aluminum can poison the pie. But whatever you have works. 9″ will work great!
An Oven
Obviously, you’ll need an oven.
Before you start making your 3 Ingredient Pumpkin Pie:
WAIT! Before you jump head first into this pie, you’ve got to make sure you have the crust ready. For this recipe you’ll need to half bake the crust so that it can finish baking with the filling. Here’s the recipe. All you do is follow the whole recipe but once you get to the baking, only bake it half way! You’ll also need to preheat the oven to 350 F.
How to make 3 Ingredient Pumpkin Pie
Mix all the Ingredients
Start by mixing all the ingredients in a bowl. I’d start by whisking the eggs. Then add the puree and seasonings. It should be a pretty smooth consistency. If you use maple syrup or honey in place of stevia, than it may be a little thinner of a batter.
Pour the filling into the 1/2 baked pie crust
Next, get out your 1/2 baked pie crust and pour the batter into the crust.
Bake for 30 minutes
Bake your pie at 350 F for about 30 minutes. The filling should be baked all the way through. It will still be a little soft, but not runny. Again, if you add a maple syrup or honey the filling may need a little longer.
Enjoy your healthy 3 Ingredient Pumpkin Pie!
